Sig Sauer has turned to brass, announcing that the gun and ammo maker will begin manufacturing premium pistol and rifle ammunition components for precision handloaders.

Manufactured in its ammunition facility in Arkansas, the Elite Performance Ammunition shell cases are designed for multiple pistol calibers — primed or unprimed — as well as unprimed rifle calibers. Sig Sauer said the components have been engineered to ensure each primer is held tightly in its pocket while flash holes are precise with no burrs. The properties of Sig Sauer’s cases also allow shooters to repeatedly reload for multiple uses.

“Each brass case undergoes rigorous in-line and post production quality assurance testing to ensure a flawless casing,” said Brad Criner, senior director of brand management and business development, in a news release. “The result is unparalleled durability and dependability.”

Pistol component cases are available in bags of 100 for .380 Auto, 9mm Luger, .357 SIG, .38 Spl, .357 Mag, .40 S&W, 10mm and .45 ACP. Rifle component cases ship in bags of 50 and are available in the following calibers: .223 Rem, 22-250 Rem, .243 Win, .300 BLK, .300 Win Mag, .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor, but .270 EWin and 30-06 Sprng are also in the works.

Sig Sauer’s pistol and rifle brass are available online through Sig Sauer’s website with prices falling between $20 and $35 per bag.
