Sightmark launches Citadel line of premium riflescopes
Sightmark continues to roll out new optics options to consumers, introducing the latest in its series of riflescopes — the Citadel.
The Citadel offers two first focal plane options with the 3-18×50 and 5-30×56 in addition to a second focal plane option with the 1-6×24. All models boast a fine-etched, red-illuminated reticle featuring 11 total brightness levels. The Citadel offers multi-coated glass as well as a single-piece, 30mm aircraft aluminum tube.
The riflescopes come equipped with a throw lever for rapid magnification and flip-up lens cover. Waterproof, dustproof and fogproof, the new scopes also tout “shockproof reliability.” The Citadel 3-18×50 and 5-30×56 models deliver a FFP lens system with illuminated LR2 mil-dash reticles for extended-distance shooting. Featuring an adjustable, locking diopter, the scopes come with locking turrets, .1 mil windage and elevation adjustments as well as an adjustable parallax.
“Citadel 3-18×50 and 5-30×56 are great options for long-range recreational plinking, bench rest and F-class competition and PRS matches,” Sightmark said in a news release.
The Citadel 1-6×24 Second Focal Plane option was created for law enforcement, competitive shooters and close to mid-range hunting. Built for quick target acquisition, the Citadel 1-6×24 is equipped with an illuminated BR1 (BDC) reticle calibrated for 55-grain .223 ammo. The scope delivers capped low-profile turrets and 1/2-MOA per click windage and elevation adjustments. Total adjustment range on each axis is 120 MOA.
The Citadel 1-6×24 retails for $359, while the 3-18×50 comes in at $479 and the 5-30×56 is priced at $515.
